Our technicians begin with a safety-focused shutdown, depressurization, and inspection, noting current pressure differential, flow conditions, and any leaks. We disassemble the canister, document wear, and remove cartridges, grids, or laterals for careful assessment of tears, collapsed pleats, brittle O-rings, or cracked manifolds.
Next, we rinse with low-pressure, fan-pattern water to avoid fiber damage, soak in an alkaline degreaser to dissolve oils, then, only if needed, follow with a mild acid bath to remove scale—never acid first. For DE and sand systems, we inspect grids and laterals, backwash or deep-clean the media, reassemble with new or conditioned O-rings, correctly torque clamps, prime the system, recharge DE to the specified amount, verify there are no leaks, and record the new clean pressure for your log.
